Love this crystal clear florida waterways. Tour guide Astrid is extremely knowledgeable and experienced.
I'm highly recommending Adventures in Florida.
This gays are doing everything to make your have a good time.
Greg and Astrid are great guides. Doing the Chipola River trip was great fun even when we had rain and unable to kayak. They made alternate plans for us to continue the fun. Will definitely return for their trips.
Astrid did a great job instructing us in the basics of kayaking. We had never been in a kayak or even held a kayak paddle before so everything was new to us. All the basics were covered and demonstrated including safety vests, moving and launching the kayak, and paddling strokes including: forward and reverse stroke, forward and reverse sweep, draw stroke, sculling draw, stern rudder (be careful with this one as all your weight goes to one side and it is easy to capsize), and low brace. Also covered was the pivot (360° turn), and stopping the kayak and more. Before the course, we had no idea how much there was to learn about kayaking, like any sport. At the end of the course, I had a thorough workout and felt very comfortable out on the water. Just like golf, where anyone can pick up a golf club and hack away at the ball, anyone can jump in a kayak for the first time and paddle. But learning the proper mechanics and techniques of kayaking allow you to be safer and more efficient. I highly recommend this course if you've never been taught by a pro.
Picture this: You pull up to a random boat dock a quarter mile away from a state park. It’s 9 am, the only people that are around are locals launching their boats. And then lovely Gina approaches you and says “Y’all with me?” If you’re on the fence about this kayaking tour, DO IT! It was such an amazing experience filled with knowledge, incredible scenery, and manatees (gators included but they stay away). You will absolutely love this experience. Gina, our tour guide was full of knowledge and jokes. 10/10 will do this again. Oh, and bring a camera :)
What an awesome evening of Kayoga with a great team. Gina as the “social director and Yoga instructor and Bill the naturalist explaining and showing us the marine life found in Indian River/Inter-coastal waterway. You can bring your own kayak or they will provide a kayak To rent with life jacket for a very reasonable price Can’t wait to go again !!!
