love the food and the service!
I came here yesterday looking for authentic Cuban food. I had arroz con habichuelas and pollo guisado. I also left with an empanada de pollo and a jugo de tamarindo. Everything was delicious. The portion size was generous, but I couldn’t help but eat my whole plate. The gentleman at the front was also very helpful and kind. This place is definitely a humble find. It is delicious, cheap, and everything you’d hope for fast take out without compromising quality. I’m surprised it has anything less than 5 stars.
Their specialties of guava pastries, flan and tres leches cakes make Dabeni’s important in the local Latin community, but the focus on authentic and wide-ranging Latino breakfasts also gives them appeal for an adventurous morning. Green plantain bolon de verde, mashed with cheese and pork chicharrones, called “ecua” for Ecuadorian at breakfast; a platter of tostones, beans, eggs, fried cheese and Puerto Rican pan sobao bread; Mexican spiced tortilla strip chilaquiles; bracingly strong espresso; and the only place I’ve found the sweet Central American corn beverage called morocho dulce.
I visited this restaurant when visiting a friend in Orlando. It was perfect! The food was cheap and the quality was the complete opposite. It was amazing and authentic. I recommend this place to anyone on a budget and looking for authentic Cuban food. The atmosphere was tight and a bunch of natural light came into the restaurant. Stop by if in Orlando!
