I wish I would've taken a picture of the prime rib steak I ordered because it was the best I've ever had. I have never eaten every piece steak and fat on my plate. When my fiance drove up to the front of the building I was confused wondering why he was taking me to a cafe. Definitely underestimated where I was going. Blueberry pie was amazing as well.
They treated my family like members of their own family. Great food and prices. It's important to support fantastic small businesses like this one. Looking forward to my next visit!
A great locals spot for an at home feel. From the minute you step in the door everything feels welcoming. Staff is very friendly and warm. It's definitely a local spot as there are tons of regulars that hit this place for meals.
Breakfast is where it's at for us. Heads up that they're across the street from a large church so lunch time on Sundays is busy!
They have fun eclectic decor on the walls so take a peek around. Normal breakfast type menu options. I'm a protein and potatoes girl for mornings.
Great locals spot for breakfast. Weekends get busy!
Jim Shannon has provided the Orlando area with a wonderful place to enjoy great home cooking for many years. It's a warm place for family, friends and conversation over a cup of coffee and dessert. Jim and Colin serve up excellent daily specials both at lunch and dinner. I enjoy their egg salad sandwich and fried onion rings. I think their salads and Reuben sandwich are best in town. I haven't tried breakfast there yet but that will be my next adventure at Shannon's.
I’ve been going to Shannon’s since I was a little girl and my family even before that. Some of my most fond memories were made at this place. My great great aunt worked at the school supplies store in this plaza and my great grandmother down the street, my grandma would take us four (herself, my great grandmother and my sister) to meet my great great aunt after work. We excitedly would order the same dishes as always fill up our sodas and get yelled at not to spill as we’d pick our favorite colored seats at the table. I remember thinking how fantastic all the decor was, and seeing a few from the local high school I was eventually going to go to. Even when my great grandad passed we went, even when my great gram passed we went, no matter the weather we’d go, eventually it became less often as we got older but I still love stopping by for a nice hot meal and see the same familiar faces. I know this isn’t a spot that may get some tourist attention, but I urge anyone who stops by the Orlando area to take some time to step in for lunch or dinner, get anything (it’s all good honestly, that’s not just the nostalgia talking, it’s filling and made with care) and make sure to grab a desert too! This place is amazing and it means the world to me. Even if my dad told me the piano was haunted once, I’ll stop by any chance I can. Thank you for staying open and thank your family for keeping it up, I hope you never close.
