The views are wonderful. I love the design and features of my unit. I’ve settled in quite nicely. Thank you to the staff for making my transition so smooth and ensuring that my unit was ready for my move in!
Current resident of 3 months.
Leasing process: The leasing process was extremely simple and easy. Justin (our leasing agent) made myself and my roommate a priority and facilitated an easy signing process.
Noise: I have a south east facing unit on a higher floor and I am able to hear some noise below on Fridays and Saturdays but other than that the environmental noise is quite minimal. One of the walls that backs up to our neighbor is paper thin and we can clearly hear conversation in the early morning. That is my only complaint about the unit itself.
View: absolutely exceptional views from every window - and the balcony is large enough to put chairs and a table to sit outside.
Unit: we are in a 2/2 and the layout is large and has plenty of storage. You cannot hear the neighbors above, but as previously mentioned I have been able to hear the people next to us through the walls.
Amenities: the pool, gym, common space, lobby, and Sky Deck are phenomenal! Every guest I bring is blown away by the views from the rooftop amenities.
Parking: first car free and after that it’s $25/month for an additional car. I’m usually able to get a 2nd or 3rd floor parking space if I’m home before 6pm. But if it’s after 11pm I’ll be on the 6th floor. It’s not bad and there are elevators in the parking garage.
The leasing agents I have dealt with have all been very helpful which was needed as I was moving from out of state and was stressed renting an apartment without being able to actually tour it. Once I arrived the apartment was spotless and beautiful. Honestly, in all the years I've rented you can always find some "evidence" of the prior tenet like patched walls where items were hung on wall or a slightly sloppy cleaning job by staff but not at Skyhouse - it was spotless and absolutely perfect. But the last kudos has to go to the concierge team is sooooo amazing! Friendly, take care of your packages, and go out of their way to make you feel at home.
My location is studio but with the one wall being all windows with jaw dropping views it feels bigger. You do sacrifice space for the view and downtown living but everything has a trade-off - right?
I have not been in Florida long but Skyhouse is a 5-minute walk to Lake Eola which is a great spot to walk the dog, get exercise, or take a romantic stroll...the park/lake also has a few restaurants along perimeter that have outside dining which is fun to have nearby. You're also just a "hop skip" from tons of fun spots downtown so lots to explore.
Keep in mind I am singing all these praises and I have not even had a chance to view the workout center and rooftop pool so it's safe to say I am a happy to have found my new long-term home.
Oh, for those Disney fans you're 24 minutes to park
