Brad was very helpful and knowledgeable.
These guys took my expectations and fulfilled everything and so much more. Brad, BJ, Noel, and the rest of the team are doing above and beyond to make sure you're safe and happy every step of the way. I pushed to get a course asap, and they made the extra efforts to make it happen under a VERY tight schedule. Within a week I was certified, and with their patience and beautiful positive welcoming attitude, I now also have a diving family. Trust me- if just starting to dive, or looking for a place to stick to- look no further, this is the spot. 5/5 🙏♥️
I am so lucky to have found The Dive Place - when I first walked into this shop about a year and a half ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was new to Florida and had never even been in deep water, but I knew I wanted to pick up this new hobby. Brad and Noel took the time to walk me through the entire process, answer all of my questions, and help me get the gear I needed for class without any pressure at all. When it came to class time, Richard and Dawn - my Open Water instructors - were incredibly attentive and patient. They sensed that I was anxious and took their time to help me work through everything that I was struggling with one-on-one. I definitely did not complete my OW training within the 2 days that most people do, but I never felt discouraged and instead was invited to tag along to as many dives as I needed in order for me to get comfortable and ready to be a safe dive buddy - all without any additional cost.
Fast forward to today and I have over 150 dives, am cave certified, and am well acquainted with many of the dive shops and operators in Florida. The Dive Place is still very much my home base. It is difficult to gauge the quality of a dive shop when you are just starting out because you may not know what you are looking for, but their quality of service and high standards keeps me coming back and recommending that all divers, both aspiring and established, do as well. Their small class sizes and personalized attention ensures that they are creating responsible divers, not just issuing certifications. Their frequent dive adventures are accessible to divers of all levels, ensuring that divers stay engaged and active year-round. And of course, I cannot say enough about the staff and how much they have done for me since I've been here - from helping me with my gear, getting me connected with local dive buddies, and helping me become a better diver with each dive. I definitely plan on continuing my dive training with The Dive Place, and am so looking forward to it!
I wish I had found this place before I took my Open Water Scuba Diver course. Where I took that course was good, but does not offer the same level of personal care and attention to individual divers needs as The Dive Place. Since that Open Water class I have taken every scuba certification class with The Dive Place. They make learning new skills and improving current skills not only fun, but also very rewarding. I am now a certified Dive Master and am looking forward to progressing on to becoming an instructor. The staff is friendly and able to offer professional, expert advice on gear, servicing of gear, what skills should be improved to progress, dive sites applicable to skill level, and so much more. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for training, gear, or advice. They really care about the diver and making sure they fall in love with the wonderful sport of diving.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to learn to dive or not. I was not very comfortable in water. After some serious deliberation I decided to take dive lessons. Friends recommended The Dive Place. I am glad they did. From the moment I stepped into the shop I was given 5 star service. They took time to answer my questions and listen to my concerns. As for the in water instruction I could not have asked for a more patient and understanding teacher. He worked with me and got me through my nervousness and concerns. The level of patience was astonishing. Thank you everyone at The Dive Place for taking the time to work with me and get my dive license. Thank you.
